The Nicene Creed
I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.
Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man;
and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins;

Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again
“In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. “The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. John 20:1-31 KJV
Today is Resurrection Sunday. We celebrate Jesus’s resurection from the dead. While it is important that Jesus died on the cross for us, his resurection is more important. The fact that Jesus rose again gives all men hope that they, too can be resurrected. We learn at the resurrection that nothing can hold God back, he came in the flesh to give his life for us. He won, that’s the message of the resurrection. He won over our sins. He won over the religious rulers. He won over satan. Most importantly, he won our salvation. It is sure, Christ died to save his elect, the one, Holy, Christian and apostolic Church. No one for whom Christ died effectually can be lost. That is because his death and resurrection insures salvation for the elect. The resurrection also shows us our hope, we know that one day, Jesus will come and resurrect us. Our hope is in the heavens, and by the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we know he will conquer our sinful nature and marry us to himself
